Trion's New Recruits Peter Matiss, Game Publishing and Brand Building Executive; Won Seok Chung, Worldwide Business Development Expert, to Help Cement Company's Worldwide Publishing Muscle

Trion World Network (Trion), the publisher and developer of games and original entertainment for the connected era, has brought on Peter Matiss as vice president, marketing and sales, and Won Seok Chung as senior director, business development. Matiss will leverage his extensive publishing background to lead all brand development, marketing and sales activities. Chung will identify and negotiate strategic alliances for the company globally.

Matiss has helped shape some of the best-known brands in the interactive and online space, launched more than 50 products on virtually all platforms, and has carried licenses across media and products, into OEM, mobile, even clothing. Before joining Trion, Matiss was vice president, marketing and sales, at WEBZEN America, Inc., where he was responsible for branding and marketing WEBZEN America's flagship online games and developing distribution strategy for the North American market. Prior to joining WEBZEN America, Matiss was at Atari, where he played an integral role in building such best-selling franchises as RollerCoaster Tycoon, Monopoly, Risk, Dungeons & Dragons and Sid Meier's Civilization.

Chung joins Trion with more than twelve years of business development, strategic planning and marketing experience. Prior to joining Trion, he spent several years as department head and director, business development Cyworld, Inc., one of the world's fastest growing online social networking destinations. During his time at Cyworld, Chung negotiated numerous contracts with major music labels, and made strategic partnership deals for product feature enhancement. Prior to joining Cyworld, Chung spent several years as in an executive role at a leading online game company, NCSoft. While at NCSoft, he brought in major partnership deals and joint ventures with global powerhouses, including Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Intel, NVIDIA and Sina.

At Trion Chung is tasked with identifying and carrying out key alliances across the globe. Leveraging his expertise in the Asian market and worldwide, Chung will help bring Trion's connected entertainment experiences to audiences everywhere.
